This session was a dream and I feel so grateful to be able to photograph Harper and her adorable family. She and her husband are the managers of The Greenhouse at Driftwood. They are such a fun loving bunch as you can see here….
The Greenhouse at Driftwood | Emily + Jonathan
Q: How did you meet?
A: "We were both back in the town where we had gone to school, celebrating our alma mater's homecoming. Because of mutual friends, Jonathan and I ended up at the same place, I stepped on his boot and talked his ear off for a good 45 minutes. Although my friends begged me to leave with them I just couldn't pass up the chance of getting to know this cute guy who had just gotten back in town from living in Alaska all summer. We went on our first date just 2 weeks later and we were hooked. 2 years of long distance dating just about did us (and both of our cars) in but we're so happy we did it.?
Q: Tell us about your wedding details?
A: "It was the perfect mix of the two of us.. a little rustic with a little modern. We didn't really want to pick between either of our own hometowns so we just went with beautiful scenery in the most perfect part of Texas. All of the decor was handmade by us and our families, everyone pulled together to make our day so special and unique to our own personalities. Our venue was perfect all on it's own so the details were just minimal enough to put our own touch to it. Our florist had an amazing eye and made everything fit together so right. Our day couldn't of been more perfect!"
Q: Tell us something funny about the two of you?
A: "We love soft pretzels, we take trips to target specifically to get them, and as we got to the airport to leave for the honeymoon (cutting it rather close I might add) we got to the plane just in time for boarding and saw an Auntie Annie's across from our gate. So we got soft pretzels for the plane ride ending our perfect wedding weekend."
