Lifestyle Newborn Session | Thomas Family

I’ve had the privilege of photographing this family several times over the past few years but this was our first time photographing inside their home. It was the perfect space for our newborn family session full of natural light.

I asked Fallon what did she love about doing her newborn session at home and she said … “ It’s comforting and calming, keeping a toddler in a familiar environment is a plus and access to anything I may need without packing up my whole house ... no forgotten burp cloths!”

I also asked her what are some of the challenges and what are the rewards of having 2 little ones now?

She said the “challenges are another human to feed and keep alive!! More so, time management and being torn between the things I want to get done and snuggling up and watching movies with these cuddle bugs all dy. The rewards are experiencing double the love.. how is it possible?!?! And now, there is more to look forward to… imagining all the adventures and possibilities the future has to hold with TWO babies in the mix!”

As you can see.. they are rockstar parents already. I look forward to many more shoots in our future… documenting all the milestones and growth :)

I might be unique because I get excited when a mom tells me their child is a handful, or rambunctious, or full of energy… because this is exactly what I want for the shoot! I want you to all be your usual selves. Full of energy and life. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good shot where the child is all eyes on the camera but that is just a small percentage of what I hope to achieve with each session. I want the energy and emotion that comes natural to a 2 year old. So let go of the stress and anxiety before the shoot and let’s have some fun. :)
