How they met:
"We met at Texas Tech through mutual friends. We had been friends for about a year when we got caught up talking at a Christmas party. This is the night we both realized there was something between us. We ended up in deep discussion until 3 am. A few days later we went on our first date! "
Planning for the big day:
"Ben & I are both creative people so at times we butted heads during the wedding planning process. We knew we didn't want the typical Texas hill country wedding. We wanted it to be fun, charming, and something that people would walk away saying "that was so them!" When we found Camp Comfort, we knew it would be perfect. It had a great blend of the vintage that I love and the hip rustic details that Ben likes. The natural beauty of Camp Comfort really inspired us when choosing details like flowers and decor. Planning a wedding from 6 hours away wasn't easy but when the big things were taken care of, I was able to get down into the little details. That was probably my favorite part! "
Fun fact about the two of you:
"Well.... our last name is now Bacon. Our theme for dinner was "Breakfast with the Bacons." We had an array of breakfast foods ranging from blueberry strata to biscuits and gravy. It was awesome! My mom made almost all of it to save us some money. "
Favorite part of the wedding:
"My favorite part was the ceremony! The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was proclaimed. The love and grace that we receive through Jesus, we promised to show each other for the rest of our lives. It was the most meaningful moment of my life! "
